FIRST® LEGO® League 2017

FIRST® LEGO® League is an international robotics program that challenges groups of students (9 – 16 years old) to think like scientists and engineers. Groups of up to 10 students have 3 months — from August to November — to build and program a robot, and develop scientific and engineering solutions, based on an annual theme and connected to a real-world challenge. At the end of the 3 months, groups participate in a high-energy tournament at The Cube to present their solutions and compete against other teams.

This year's theme is HYDRO DYNAMICS℠ Global Challenge. Drink in the 2017/2018 HYDRO DYNAMICS℠ season and learn all about water – how we find, transport, use, or dispose of it. On your mark, get set, flow!

The Cube has been a proud tournament host of FIRST® LEGO® League since 2013.

FIRST® LEGO® League is made possible by a large and passionate volunteer community of students, family, teachers and veteran competitors. Tournaments are run with the feel of a sporting event, and teams compete using LEGO┬« Education Mindstorms while having the time of their lives. What FIRST® LEGO® League teams accomplish is nothing short of amazing. It's fun. It's exciting. And the skills they learn will last a lifetime. All Volunteers will receive a FIRST LEGO League t-shirt, certificate of appreciation and a catered lunch as thanks for their participation.

If you would like to nominate yourself for a specific position, see list of volunteer role descriptions. To register as a volunteer for this year's FIRST LEGO League apply online
