Engineering workshops

littleBits: NASA (Year 7-8)
littleBits: NASA teaches the basics of circuitry and culminates in a challenge to design and build a working satellite dish or NASA grappling fixture.

Clean energy: wind power (Year 7-10)
This workshop investigates renewable energy production through application of civil and mechanical engineering theory.

Mechatronics: bionic arms (Year 9-10)
Using the engineering principles of mechatronics, students construct a robot arm from a range of components and motors.

Autonomous robot rescue (Year 11-12)
Students learn about systems engineering and real world rescue robots, using coding skills to remotely rescue an injured worker using a pre-built robot arm.
