Old Government House

Across the lawn from Gardens Theatre sits the majestic Old Government House. Beautifully restored to its former glory, the 150 year-old House, once the seat of government in Queensland and home to eleven of the State's governors, is now a house museum open to the public.

William Robinson Gallery

Housed in the graceful setting of Old Government House is the William Robinson Gallery, solely dedicated to the display of works by Australia's pre-eminent landscape artist, William Robinson. A new exhibition, Eternal present: the still life paintings of William Robinson, will be on display until mid-2018.

QUT Art Museum

QUT Art Museum is a contemporary art gallery favoured by local art devotees. The gallery is regarded as the 'hidden treasure' of Brisbane's art scene, with a reputation for presenting a dynamic program of touring and collection-based exhibitions that focus on the best of contemporary Australian art and design. It's also home to the University's art collection, one of Queensland's most significant public collections.

Botanic Gardens

The City Botanic Gardens include ancient trees, rainforest glades and exotic species. They run the full length of Alice Street, bordered by Parliament House on the one side and the Brisbane River's northern banks on the other.
