Off the Shelf: Creative Coding (Wearable Tech)

From smart watches and smart glasses to conductive fabric – whether for practical or aesthetic purposes, technology is increasingly being embedded into what we wear. Over the course of four Saturday workshops, Wearable Tech will introduce participants to the basics of wearable electronics.

Facilitated by interactive designer Jeniffer Heng and The Cube, participants will use the LilyPad Arduino in creative, hands-on activities such as developing light-sensor activated necklaces, interactive brooches, tote bags made from conductive materials, and temperature-activated wearables.

Wearable Tech is a free workshop program held over four consecutive Saturdays from 11am to 2.30pm. No prior experience is necessary, but you must commit to attend all four workshops, and contribute a short written reflection on your experience for use on The Cube's blog.
