Robotronica will return to QUT's Gardens Point Precinct this year to reveal the most up to date advancements and innovations in the fields of robotics and interactive design. Robotronica is a groundbreaking one-day event showcasing the latest developments in robotics and interactive design. Attracting a broad audience from families through to young people curious about the latest technology.
The Inaugural Event in 2013 drew over 10,000 people and showcased over 30 projects and in 2015 over 18,000 flocked to Gardens Point Campus with over 60 projects from local and international scientists, roboticists, engineers, performers, designers and interactive artists. The events have featured the Australian premiere of 'Spaxels' the Ars Electronica Futurelab's Quadcopter Swarm; the worlds first government-recognised cyborg–Neil Harbisson; QUT's own 'Hospital of the Future' and Japan's leading roboticist Prof Hiroshi Ishiguro and his talking doppelganger Geminoid.
