The Living Reef: Digital designer workshop
In this hands-on workshop you will step through the process designers use to create digital experiences. Discover what makes good or bad design, and use the process of 'design thinking' to rapidly generate ideas.
The workshop is facilitated by technology and education start-up BOP Industries in collaboration with The Cube.
Using a real design challenge, students will design a digital activity that could be included in The Cube's new Living Reef project. BOP Industries, QUT staff, and ambassadors will provide feedback on design ideas.
No design or digital technology experience is required.
Evaluate examples of digital projects, get to know basic design principles and understand what affects user experience.
Work in teams to develop a solution to the design challenge. Start by brainstorming, sketching ideas and receive feedback.
Communicate your ideas in a fast-paced presentation and pitch session to wrap up the day.
This event is part of The Living Reef program.
BOP Industries is an Australian technology and education company working to develop new technologies and to educate and inspire others to do the same.
